INSPIRATION FOR CREATING THIS WEBSITE:
Son’s Death Inspires Mom To End Acid Reflux
I received a letter from a woman who was inspired to
eliminate her acid reflux because of her son dying from
esophageal cancer.
Here’s Cindy’s letter:

Hi Sherry:
I am living proof that your concept of combining the right
foods is the winning combination!
It is so easy and fun. There are so many foods that you
CAN eat, once you have the concept of what goes with what,
and what foods do not go together, then it is a snap.
Grocery shopping is much easier! I simply bypass all the
processed, boxed and junk foods–that is about 70% of the
store. I fill my cart with fresh fruits and vegtables,
whole grains, and very little dairy. We eat a lot of
chicken, fish and some beef and pork.
Your recipe book and daily menus are chuck full of ideas
for meals and snacks.
I lost 7 lbs in 2 weeks! My acid reflux is gone. My
hernia remains, but is in a state of repair.
I have no more bloating and very little gas. My clothes
fit better–soon I will need a smaller size. What I save
from not buying junk at the super market will buy me some
new clothes, in a smaller size of course.
But my big motovation is my son. Everything happens for a
reason, and I beleive I was lead to your website not by
accident but by divine intervention. Call it a gift from
above.
On Thanksgiving Day my son passed away from esophageal
cancer. He was 31, and at stage 4 when he was first
diagnosed. He was tall, handsome, had beautiful deep blue
eyes and was very phyically active.
He was type “A” personality, very hyper, anxious and a
perfectionist. He ate a lot of red meat and in my opinion
drank a little too much. I truly believe his lifestyle
brought about his cancer.
The tests revealed that his cancer was genetic in nature.
While I believe that a lot of us have pre-disposing
factors, I also strongly believe that good nutrition,
exercise, rest and keeping stress down to a minimun, along
with a positive attitude can go a long way in the fight
against cancer. (And a good laugh now and then won’t hurt.)
I watched my son wither away to skin and bones. He had a
tube in his stomach for food. He could not eat anything by
mouth. We ate and he did not–how heart breaking is that?
He loved to cook and bake, and to try new recipes out on
us. That gave him a lot of satisfaction. My son would
have given anything to be able to eat normally.
So for my son, and myself, I can do this life changing
plan. You made it so easy for me.
Since my son’s death, I had been having major problems
with a hiatal hernia, and that is what brought me to your
website.

If I go off of your plan the slighest, my heartburn is
back instantly. But as long as I do what you suggest I can
have that tossed salad with onions and have no symptoms
whatsoever!
I am off all antacids and acid reducers–don’t need them!
Just as long as I stick to the GTNP concept.
Thank you for all he painstaking work you put into GTNP–
all the research, reading and burning the midnight oil.
You have helped so many people all around the world.
But think of it, if you did not have the problems and the
challenges that you did, there probably would not have been
“GREAT TASTE NO PAIN.” Yes indeed, good things certainly
can come out of not so good circumstances.
You truly are an angel. Thank you from the bottom of my
heart.

SB: Cindy, I have to dry my eyes.
You are right about genetics and disease…many of us have
genetic pre-dispositions to specific maladies or diseases.
But having a pre-disposition to a problem does not mean
that you will get it and suffer from it. Far and away the
most significant factor that determines your state of
health is what you put in your mouth.
Your reflux going away and being able to get off antacids
was completely predictable.
May God bless you and your family as you heal from the
loss of your son.

Now, Cindy is right–my years of suffering with IBS were a
blessing in disguise. They opened my eyes to my life’s
mission–to help people everywhere with digestive and
health challenges.
Cindy no longer suffers from the pain and burning of acid
reflux and hiatal hernia. Imagine what Great Taste No Pain
can do for YOU.

PS: Vironica’s intense acid reflux pain is now gone:
*******************
Hi Sherry,
I have been on your plan for 2 weeks now and I can’t
believe the difference.
I decided as I reach my 65th birthday I am taking charge
of my body–not putting it in the hands of any doctor who
will only treat the pain (with pain killers) and not the
cause.
My acid reflux was so bad I was sick most nights with just
pure acid burning my throat and tongue–but not any more!
I had very sore upper arms for some time and blamed it on
a fault with my car’s power-steering, but it must have been
the acid in my body instead, because the pain is gone.
I also had constant coughing (it was embarrassing), but
now I’m happy to say it’s all gone.
I am so glad when I entered acid reflux into google you
came up.
I have no other aches or pains so I’m very lucky.
Kindest Regards,
Vironica
